This unconventional blend of zinfandel, cabernet and petite sirah smacks of dark berry flavors, features velvety tannins and boasts an elegant structure that still packs a wild punch. In other words, it is, indeed, “super fly!” Bending convention while staying true to varietal purity is not an easy task for any winemaker to tackle. Perhaps that’s why each sip of this rocking red feels a little bit like a revolution! Can ya dig it?
Bodega de Edgar 2020 Can’t Stop Grenache
The red for white drinkers: Still have that annoying friend who insists on drinking white wine, no matter what the occasion? Well, not for long! Enter this Bodega de Edgar 100% grenache offering, sure to expand their palate at first sip. This wine, vinified via carbonic maceration, features a fabulously light red body and floral aroma appropriate for a winter night or summer day (not many wines can say that, trust us). Refreshing yet still alluringly complex, you’ll find that the carbonic treatment gives the wine’s already juicy flavor profile of cherry, raspberry and blueberry a distinct “gumdrop” character. Ending with a supremely smooth finish, this wine is one tough act to follow.
