7 Paso Robles Vineyard Vacation Rentals for Your Next Group Getaway

  • August 3, 2026
  • By Paso Wine Collective

A hotel room with a vineyard view is nice. Having the entire vineyard to yourselves is another thing entirely.

Across Paso Robles wine country, a small but growing number of wineries have turned their guest houses, ranch homes, and even a row of vintage trailers into full-property rentals — the kind where your group gets the whole kitchen, the whole hot tub, and a private pour of the estate wine before anyone else shows up. These Paso Robles vineyard vacation rentals are built for family reunions, friend trips, and anyone who wants their lodging to be part of the wine country experience rather than just a place to sleep between tastings.

This guide covers seven of those properties in detail. For the complete, searchable list of every winery hotel, inn, and rental in the region, start with our full directory of Paso Robles winery stays.

What Makes a Vineyard Rental Different

Booking a room at a winery inn means a private bathroom and a view. Booking a vineyard rental means the whole property — a full kitchen for cooking dinner with a case of estate wine open on the counter, enough bedrooms that nobody fights over the pullout couch, and grounds you can wander at 6 a.m. in yesterday’s clothes with coffee in hand. Most of the homes below sit on working vineyards, which means tractors and vineyard crews may be part of the scenery on weekdays. All of them require advance booking, and several offer wine club members or multi-night guests preferred rates, so it’s worth asking before you reserve.

Sizes and vibes vary widely across these seven properties, so it helps to match the stay to the trip. Big multi-generational gatherings tend to land best at Dresser Winery Estate Villa or Santellan’s Manor, both built to sleep a crowd without anyone sharing a bathroom with six other people. Couples and small friend groups have more range — Copia’s guest homes, the Kiler Canyon Ranch House, and Stay on the Vineyard’s suites all sit comfortably in the four-to-six-guest range, while CaliPaso’s villa rooms suit a couple wanting hotel-style privacy with a vineyard backdrop. And if the goal is something more memorable than a standard bedroom, the vintage trailers at Alta Colina are built for exactly that.

7 Vineyard Estates You Can Book Direct on the Vines

Dresser Winery Estate Villa

Owners Kory and Catherine Burke built this 6,300-square-foot villa on their 25-acre working vineyard along the Paso Back Roads Wine Trail, and it’s sized for the kind of trip where three generations show up at once. Five bedrooms across the main house and a stand-alone casita sleep 10 to 12, with a pool, waterfall, hot tub, fire pit, and full outdoor kitchen scattered across landscaped grounds that sit 1,100 feet up on the limestone soils Dresser Winery farms for its Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Syrah. Guests can arrange a private tasting at the winery or in the estate’s own wine cellar, and wine club members get 5 to 10 percent off nightly rates depending on tier.

Local Tip: Ask about pool heating in advance — it’s available on request but isn’t included by default, and it matters more than you’d think on a cool spring evening.

Address: 5530 Dresser Ranch Place, Paso Robles, CA 93446. See rates and availability.

Copia Vineyards’ Twin Guest Homes

Copia Vineyards, founded by Anita and Varinder Sahi in 2017, pours its Rhône and Bordeaux varietals from a tasting room in the Adelaida District — but its two guest homes sit on a separate, gated 50-acre property off Kiler Canyon Road in the Willow Creek District, six minutes from downtown. The Story Home has two king master suites, a private patio, and a year-round hot tub; the Source Home sleeps six with a king and queen bedroom, a jacuzzi, and a wood-burning stove for cooler nights. Both share the same working-vineyard backdrop, with deer, wild turkey, and the resident vineyard cat as regular company.

Local Tip: Vineyard work happens on weekdays, not weekends, so book Friday through Sunday if you’d rather not hear tractors during your morning coffee.

Address: 1000 Kiler Canyon Rd, Paso Robles, CA 93446. The Story Home | The Source Home.

CaliPaso Winery & Villa

CaliPaso’s estate and villa is worth calling out separately from the family’s downtown tasting room on 13th Street — the two are different locations entirely. The Villa sits on the winery’s own rolling-hill property off Buena Vista Drive, where eight guest rooms and suites come with fireplaces and private balconies or patios overlooking the vines, plus access to an exclusive Sunday brunch restaurant open only to guests and visitors on weekends. CaliPaso Winery, founded in 2012, also books the estate for weddings and private events, so it’s worth confirming availability well ahead of a visit during peak wedding season.

Local Tip: Sunday brunch at the estate restaurant is a separate reservation from the room booking — line it up in advance if a lazy Sunday morning is part of the plan.

Address: 4230 Buena Vista Dr, Paso Robles, CA 93446. See rates and availability.

Kiler Canyon Ranch House - Deck
Kiler Canyon Ranch House

Kiler Canyon Ranch House

ONX Wines acquired its Kiler Canyon Vineyard in the Willow Creek District after founders Steve and Brenda Olson first planted their Templeton Gap estate in 2004, and the three-bedroom ranch house that sits on it now functions as one of the more straightforward group stays on this list. It sleeps six on its own, or eight with the adjoining studio apartment, and every bedroom looks out over the vines. Rates start at $600 a night and include a complimentary wine tasting or tour, with better pricing available for ONX Collective wine club members.

Local Tip: The hot tub is reserved exclusively for house guests — a small detail that makes evenings quieter than at properties where day-trippers pass through.

Address: 1565 Kiler Canyon Rd, Paso Robles, CA 93446. See rates and availability.

Santellan Vineyards

Scott Santellan bought this 112-acre property in December 2020, bringing a background in construction and farming to a place that now offers three distinct ways to stay: the four-bedroom Inn (sleeps 8), the more private Symphony Suite (sleeps 2), and The Manor, a six-bedroom Victorian-farmhouse hybrid with a wraparound porch that can host up to 18. Santellan Vineyards pours its small-lot reds and sparkling wines from a tasting room just five minutes north of downtown off Highway 101, on the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail, and guests booking two or more nights at the Inn get complimentary tastings included.

Local Tip: The Manor’s scale — six bedrooms, four and a half baths — makes it one of the only properties on this list built to comfortably host a full wedding party or multi-family reunion under one roof.

Address: 7750 Highway 101, Paso Robles, CA 93446. See rates and availability.

The Vineyard House
The Vineyard House

The Vineyard House

The Vineyard House has two private suites on a working Zinfandel vineyard tucked into the hills of Paso’s Westside, and the pitch here is less about square footage and more about the setting: sweeping vineyard views, resident owls and bald eagles, and evenings built around a firepit and a bottle share. The Stay Suite is a 1,000-square-foot upstairs unit with a private balcony, gas fireplace, and king bed; the Be Suite is a smaller, glass-walled retreat with a queen bed and its own wraparound deck. Both include a complimentary bottle of local wine for multi-night stays and come with recommendations for wineries, dining, and nearby Sensorio curated by the hosts.

Local Tip: Book directly through the property to skip third-party booking fees, and bring binoculars — the wildlife-watching here is part of the draw, not an afterthought.

Address: 7110 Drake Rd, Paso Robles, CA 93446. See rates and availability.

The Trailer Pond at Alta Colina

For a different kind of vineyard stay, Alta Colina rents out five vintage trailers arranged around a private pond on its 130-acre, organically farmed estate in the Adelaida District — Paso’s highest-elevation growing area, peaking at 1,800 feet, where owner Bob Tillman has built a reputation for some of the region’s most distinctive Rhône wines. Wine Country’s first vineyard trailer campground can be booked one trailer at a time or as a full group buyout of all five, making it the rare property here suited equally to a couple’s weekend or a full friend-group retreat.

Local Tip: This is glamping, not a hotel room — pack for cooler high-elevation nights even in summer, when Adelaida District temperatures swing more than downtown Paso. See rates and availability.

Planning Your Stay

Most of these properties book out weeks or months ahead during harvest season (roughly September through October) and around spring and fall wedding weekends, so it pays to reserve early if your dates aren’t flexible. Group size matters more here than at a standard hotel — confirm exactly how many the property sleeps comfortably before booking, since several list a “max” capacity that assumes couches and rollaways. And because most of these homes sit on active vineyards, don’t be surprised by tractors, ATVs, or crews working the rows on weekday mornings; it’s part of what makes the stay feel real rather than staged.

If you’re building a full trip around it, pair your stay with our guide to wineries with on-site accommodation or browse the complete directory of Paso Robles winery stays for more options by neighborhood, budget, and property type. Whichever vineyard you choose, waking up there — rather than just visiting for an afternoon — tends to be the detail people remember longest about a Paso Robles trip.

FAQ: Renting a Vineyard Property in Paso Robles

Do vineyard vacation rentals include wine tastings?

Some do, some don’t — it varies by property. Kiler Canyon Ranch House and Dresser Winery Estate Villa both build a complimentary tasting or tour into the stay, while others treat lodging and tasting as separate bookings. Confirm what’s included before you arrive so you’re not surprised either way.

How far in advance should I book?

For harvest season (roughly September through October) and spring or fall wedding weekends, two to three months out is a safer bet than a few weeks. Properties that also host weddings and events, like Santellan Vineyards and CaliPaso, can fill their calendars around those dates first.

Are these properties pet-friendly?

Policies differ by property and aren’t always listed publicly. Copia’s Source Home allows small pets under 40 pounds with approval, but several others don’t accommodate pets at all — always confirm directly with the property before booking if you’re traveling with an animal.
