So what do people have to say about Paso Robles at Christmas time? The second Saturday of the month as many as 30,000 folks flock here to stroll down Vine Street to get into the Christmas spirit and enjoy Christmas decorations, carols, cider, hot chocolate, a hill of snow for kids to slide around and decorated Victorian homes! Everyone loves it.
Our favs are Ebeneezer Scrooge’s house and the Candyland house. Scrooge makes for a good show running around his front yard and balcony as cancerous, rude and caustic as ever in his long pajamas and cap.
Candyland is dreamy with its candy decorations, train, reindeer and Santa’s sleigh.
If you missed the Vine Street event you can take a stroll or drive on your own down Vine Street from the intersection of 6th Street to about 21st Street. And make certain you pop into some wineries or downtown tasting rooms to purchase a special bottle of wine for your Christmas dinner.
