Did you know that many Paso Robles tasting rooms are back in action? Tasting rooms that offer outdoor seating and food are back in business during Covid-19 (with plenty of safety precautions set in place). If it’s been a while since you’ve lingered over a leisurely wine pairing, make your escape today. There’s never been a better time to enjoy the late summer vibes of Paso Robles. Experience the buzz of a new harvest amid a gorgeous setting. Kick back, relax, and enjoy. Your table’s waiting.
1. Seven Oxen Estate Wines
Bright idea: Head to Tin City and explore the hip, industrial side of Paso Robles. This industrious alcove is home to dozens of artisan producers creating everything from hard cider and Old World pasta to world class wine. The shaded outdoor patio at Seven Oxen Estate Wines is spacious, breezy and home to plush couches just waiting for your derrière. Plus, the winery’s new indoor/outdoor group tasting room is furnished with comfortable tables equipped to entertain groups of up to ten tasters. Sip 100% estate grown wines, including tasty red Rhone blends and a charming grenache-mourvedre-zinfandel rose. Now you’ve got the right idea.
Take me there:
Open for tasting from 11am to 1pm Saturday-Monday. Bottle purchases available from 1-5pm. Reservations strongly recommended.

3340 Ramada Dr. Suite A, Paso Robles, CA 93446
2. Chateau Margene
Need a little TLC? Chateau Margene’s luxury cabernet sauvignon is at your service! The producers of incredible cab, pinot noir and port-style wines have re-opened their Morro Bay tasting room, featuring an outdoor, seated dine-in food and wine experience not to be missed. The winery’s Paso Robles tasting room is also welcoming guests (a maximum of six per visit). Relax on the scenic veranda or pergola and enjoy wine by the glass, bottle or flight. Smell something delicious? Oh, that’s just the rose garden blooming nearby. Speaking of delicious, you should know that fine cheeses, sandwiches and salads—plus mouth watering desserts—are always on the menu. Feeling pampered yet?
Take me there:
Morro Bay tasting room open Thursday-Monday from noon to 7pm. Paso Robles tasting room open by appointment only. See website for details.

3. Lusso Della Terra
Wake up your tastebuds: Take a break from the ordinary and try something fresh and new! Lusso Della Terra’s latest releases—including their 2019 Roussanne and Verdejo, 2018 Pinot Noir and 2017 Nebbiolo—are all ready for your swirling pleasure. In fact, join the San Miguel winery for a socially distant celebration of these vivacious vintages with a to-go dinner courtesy of Miss Oddette this Sept 5-6. We’re talking ribs, cornbread and red beans and rice! Of course, tasting flights are always available in their outdoor hangout overlooking the vines. What more could you possibly need to kick your palate into gear?
Take me there:
San Miguel tasting room open by appointment only Monday-Thursday and Friday-Sunday. Walk-ins welcomed on weekends only.

2850 Ranchita Canyon Rd, San Miguel, CA 93451
4. Sculpterra Winery
Dream on: Claim your own slice of wonderland at Sculpterra Winery, home to fanciful topiary and gigantic bronze sculptures. With seemingly every varietal on the menu from sparkling to dessert style wines, you’re sure to find a vintage that captures your imagination. Note: the winery’s hand bottled and whimsically painted 2019 Winemakers Signature series is limited to just 200 bottles and represents that magical intersection between art and wine. Sprawl out on the green grass and sample a picnic (they’ve got plenty of fine nibbles on hand) or go for a stroll through the garden menagerie. Either way, today is about losing yourself in the fantasy. Go ahead: fall far, far down the rabbit hole!
Take me there:
Paso Robles tasting room open from 10am-5pm daily by appointment only.
(805) 226-8881
5015 Linne Rd. Paso Robles, CA 93446
5. Robert Hall Winery
Music to your ears: Live music isn’t canceled, it’s just moved on to a new format. Thanks to Robert Hall Winery and Facebook Live, you can enjoy the amazing “live” tunes performed by Grammy award winning artists and local artists alike paired alongside fabulous Bordeaux and Rhone wines. Plus, the winery’s lush outdoor tasting area is now open to seated food and wine experiences daily by appointment (six people at a time, for now). Sourced from acclaimed Paso Robles vineyards and lovingly created by winemaker Don Brady, the wines of Robert Hall are a tribute to “hard work and pride in craft.” I think we can all agree that well crafted wine is well worth the work!
Take me there:
Paso Robles tasting room open from Monday-Sunday from 10am-5pm by appointment only. For the winery’s At Home Music Sessions, see the winery’s Facebook page.
