Swing by and give this sweet ambassador a scratch behind the ears—your dog will want to say, “hello” in a very different way. This famously dog-friendly winery hosts live music and food-centric events spring through summer, so come back often, and don’t forget to give a friendly bark to the onsite llamas and goats!
Stop by Chronic Cellars any old time and learn why these wines aren’t just good—they’re “chronic.” Chances are, your dog will agree that those who taste hard should totally play hard, too. Picnic on the covered patio or toss a few horseshoes on the lawn, a perfect place for rolling, leaping, and lounging. You can also shoot some pool or play a game of corn hole (your dog may want to fetch the bean bag for you, and that’s totally OK). You may have to consult the rule book though to make sure dog-human alliances aren’t cheating.
The French know how to make a great bottle of wine and how to have a good soiree. Écluse’s wines may be inspired by worldly travels through France, but this tasting room is down-home country at heart. Stop by this wonderfully warm and cozy tasting room Friday through Sunday for award winning reds and much-needed quality time with your best bud. Your pooch would agree: Fine wine—or a good time—need not be fancy, eh?
A relaxing day at Harmony Cellars is the only way to wrap up the excitement of Paso Robles Wine Fest Weekend kicking off next month (plus, your dog will miss you to the moon and back while you’re out cavorting Friday through Saturday). On Sunday, May 20, promise your pooch a play date. Say farewell to Paso for the afternoon and hello to coastal breezes sure to perk up even the most peeved pet. Peachy Canyon also provides a fantastic picnicking spot for the whole furry family, complete with old time gazebo. The winery hosts Summertime Saturdays, with live music jamming in the gazebo, beginning May 19 (Paso Wine Fest) through October.
