Here’s a tiny taste of what’s to come in Paso Robles Wine Country soon.
Harmony Cellars Evening of Chardonnay
When: Saturday, January 14th
Where: Harmony Cellars Tasting Room, Harmony
Why we’re looking forward: Perched atop a hill overlooking the tiny hamlet of Harmony, California (population 18, if you count the cows), Harmony Cellars is a true hidden gem nestled along the coast. Not far from Paso Robles and in close proximity to Highway 1, this heavenly tasting room offers up the best of land and sea. And what goes with a dreamy little trip up the coast? Chardonnay of course! If this is your favorite varietal (or even just one of your top five), this event needs to be on your radar. Enjoy an evening celebrating Harmony Cellars’ chardonnay in all its varieties: sparkling, stainless steel-aged and oaked. Of course, the wine is complemented by delectable, French-inspired hors d’oeuvres from Baguette About It. Ironically, all we can say is this one’s going to be unforgettable.
Ringing in the New Year with Hoyt Family Vineyards
When: Saturday, December 31-Sunday January 1
Where: City Park, Paso Robles
Why we’re looking forward: With world famous wine and the warmest hospitality, Paso Robles knows how to throw a party, am I right? Knowing that the city of Paso Robles is hosting a free community bash on New Year’s Eve, we’ve already planned our outfits! Uncorking in downtown Paso Robles at charming City Park, you’ll enjoy live music, a DJ, fire dancers and a crackling bonfire. Order up a glass of wine from one of our favorite purveyors, Hoyt Family Vineyards, or grab a bite to eat from food trucks on site (you can also choose from 25+ restaurants downtown, all walking distance). With incredible Hoyt Family Wine wines flowing, you’ll usher in the 9 p.m. ball drop coinciding with midnight in NYC. Yes, you can totally ring in the New Year, enjoy fine wine and still be home before midnight! Of course, no one would blame you if you hit the town after…
Tasting at Anarchy Wine Co. and touring Tin City
When: Friday through Sunday daily, 11 am to 5 p.m.
Where: Anarchy Wine Co. Tasting Room/Tin City, Paso Robles
Why we’re looking forward: The music is loud, the people are opinionated, and the wines are like nothing you’ve ever tried before. If this sounds like your kind of bag, you’ll more than appreciate the unruly vibes of Anarchy Wine Co. Located on Ramada Drive in Paso Robles, this unique tasting room is all about pushing the boundaries of winemaking. Enjoy a killer lineup of bold reds before exploring nearby Tin City, an industrial wilderness all its own. What might await your taste buds on this excellent journey? Well, craft beer, cider and fresh-made pasta, to start! Who needs rules when you can have complete and utter freedom to sip, slurp and swirl as you please?
Blending Party at Bovino Vineyards
When: Saturday, January 14
Where: Bovino Vineyards, Templeton
Why we’re looking forward: Ever dream about the life of a winemaker? Tasting, blending and considering each subtle nuance—you’d allow your superior senses to call the shots. Well, sometimes dreams do come true (sort of). Head to Bovino’s January blending party and take fate into your own two hands. Located in beautiful Templeton, Bovino’s estate vineyards are home to 16 different grape varieties all ripened to perfection. Add in three different soil types and a gaggle of rootstocks, and you have yourself a recipe for diversity and complexity. Ready to try your hand at blending a little of this and a whole lot of that? Downtown Date Night at Diablo Paso
When: 4-8 p.m. daily
Where: Diablo Paso Tasting Room, Paso Robles
Why are we looking forward: Missing the magic lately? Plan the best couple’s trip ever in sensual downtown Paso Robles. Trust us: A weekend of wine tasting, hot springs and vineyard strolls is mathematically assured to get both parties to put down their phones and reconnect with the relationship. With plenty of restaurants, boutique shopping and tasting rooms to explore together, you’ll enjoy an evening full of romantic surprises. Like—for instance—the Diablo Paso tasting room, known for serving up wine flights that delight. Just remember, this lover’s lounge is first come-first served. Plan to grab your sweetheart and go!
Great Gatsby, It’s a NYE party at the Castle!

Where: Tooth and Nail Castle, Paso Robles
Why we’re looking forward: Dust off your finest 1920’s attire and get ready for a night to remember that will ensure you’ve started off 2023 with a bang. You’re invited to Tooth and Nail’s first ever Great Gatsby themed New Years Eve party at the castle. They’ll have live music, wine, bubbles, light bites and sweet treats all included with your ticket. You’ll get into the vibe pronto with the required black tie and gown attire (Gatsby style encouraged). After all dressing up makes the event all the more festive.
