Syrah from Paso Robles…our new favorite varietal

Syrah is our new favorite varietal…at least in Paso Robles Wine Country. Typically your palate is greeted with a punch of flavor that tapers off with a spicy peppery note in the aftertaste. Syrah from Paso Robles is elegant, balanced and tend to have smoother finishes.

D’Anbino Vineyards and Cellars in the Paso Robles Appellation produces a wonderful Syrah. Their 2007 Syrah is a full-bodied and complex wine with fragrant aromas of spice and violet. Black fruit flavors lead to a smokey finish that complements the rounded tannins.

The grapes are biodynamically grown in certified sustainable vineyards and are painstakingly monitored to produce small lots of site-specific hand-crafted premium quality wines. If you can get to their tasting room on the weekends you can jam with the family band comprised of professional musicians who strive to blend wine with live music, food, and family. They make an event out of wine tasting.
