Have you heard the grand news? Paso is officially back in business! Break open the good stuff, it’s time to celebrate. Yes, ALL Paso Robles wineries have been given the green light to reopen for wine tasting! Excited to jump back in the tasting saddle but don’t quite know where to start?
Luckily, we’ve compiled up-to-date information on the currently reopened Wineries, Distilleries, Restaurants, and Hotels in Paso Robles Wine Country. Before you head out there, be sure to read our handy guide for safe tasting during COVID-19, too. OK. Now you’re ready to taste with the best of them. No need to hold your horses any longer. Here’s five tasting rooms opening their doors (and their bottles) just for you.
1. Hang like a local at the Hayseed and Housdson Tasting Garage
Hit the garage. Well, the tasting garage that is! At Hayseed and Housdon, you’re always just one of the gang (and hanging at the industrial chic space feels a lot like being admitted into a way cool clubhouse). This unique Paso Robles craft wine hangout might be the only tasting room of its kind in Paso Robles, a laid back space where you can sip small lot wines made with minimal intervention. Plus, 50% of all profits are donated to SLO County based nonprofits, which always feels good. Want to sip like a local? Be sure to try the winery’s popular Rhone Rodeo, featuring grenache grapes sourced from Edna Valley to the South. The motto here is simple: ‘The first rule of Hayseed and Housdon is that there are no rules. Just show respect for one another!” That means using common sense when social distancing (and always being prepared to make a new friend or three).
Current Hours: Thursday – Monday noon to 6 p.m.

2. Find the finer things in life at Chateau Margene
When’s the last time you really treated yourself? No, a bubble bath doesn’t count! If wine-approved self care is what you seek, then Chateau Margene should be on your Paso Robles tasting list. Thanks to the boutique winery’s array of sumptuous, velvety and downright luscious cabernet sauvignon offerings, you’re never far from a memorable, lingering finish. With a food menu that truly stands up to “King Cab” (including fine cheeses and charcuterie, delectable salads and gourmet sandwiches) you’ll feel pampered from the first sip to the final bite. Relax and let Chateau Margene’s friendly tasting room staff take the reins for a while. Standard COVID-19 social distancing and sanitation practices are firmly set in place, which allows you to truly unwind. Let go and sink into the very lap of luxury.
Current Hours: Daily by appointment – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

3. Let your hair down at Lusso Della Terra
Life has gotten so complicated lately. Let’s get back to the simple pleasure of enjoying a fabulous glass of Paso Robles wine in the warm sunshine, shall we? At Lusso Della Terra, savor lunch on the patio while you take in gorgeous vineyard views. Whether you pick up a picnic basket filled with wine, cheese, salami, box of crackers, and two wine glasses to keep or go for a sandwich and a side salad, we promise this will be the best part of your day. Although the winery recommends advance reservations, same-day booking is no issue at all. As usual, the folks at Lusso Della Terra are more concerned with wowing you with their stellar selection of red, white and rosé delights. Time to taste what you’ve been missing!
Father’s Day alert! To show their thanks to fathers, Lusso Della Terra is offering FREE wine flights to all fathers this weekend. Meat and cheese trays will be available and on Sunday add in a special tri-tip sandwich and burgers from CGrill Catering Co. Time to celebrate all you dads in style!
Current Hours: Saturday through Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For more information, call (805) 239-9463

4. Step inside the storybook at Tooth and Nail
The castle has lowered its draw-bridge, y’all. For avid fans of Tooth and Nail Winery (and there are many), this couldn’t be more exciting news. Receive the royal treatment at Paso Roble’s resident storybook haunt, where expansive outdoor patio seating makes social distancing a snap. Sample dozens of varietals and blends spanning Tooth and Nail, Rabble, Statis, and Amor Fati labels all while marveling at the well-appointed estate. You should know that this royal decree has gone into effect across the land: doors are kept open to allow airflow inside the tasting room, hand sanitizer can be found at every turn and admittance will be limited to curb crowds. Sure, this means you should certainly make a reservation before hopping into your carriage, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still pretend to storm the castle.
Current Hours: Sat through Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
For more information, call (805) 369-6100

Imagine this: You’re comfortably reclined at a table at Jada, shaded by leafy oaks. Birds flit from branch to branch as you sip and swirl the afternoon away on the sun dappled deck. This pastoral wonderland is not far from your dreams, we can promise that! Combine with a cheese plate for maximum yum factor and set your e-mail away message to “vacation,” if only just for the weekend. Spend a little quality time with your doggie pal or invite your human pod (book a hosted, sit down group experience featuring five current releases paired with fantastic fromage). For once, there’s absolutely no rush and nowhere you need to be. Have sweeter words ever been uttered?
Current Hours: Daily from 11 a.m. to 4:45
