Paso Robles Wineries

6 Paso Robles Wineries with Restaurants

Wine and dine with a sit-down meal in Paso Robles Wine Country. No, we’re not talking about a traditional restaurant! With a year-round growing season and plenty of fresh produce and artisanal treats to savor, Paso Robles tasting rooms are catering to wine enthusiasts and foodies alike. If you’re seeking more than a simple cheese plate with your next wine tasting, you’re in luck. These 6 Paso Robles tasting rooms offer expertly paired culinary creations made to order.

1. Parrish Family Vineyard

Vibe: Warm, welcoming with vineyard views forever (pictured above)
Menu: New American foodies’ dream
Dine: Parrish Family Vineyard’s cozy lounge is perfect for taking in vineyard views, grabbing a shared plate with a group of friends or chowing down on a thick steak, made just the way you like it. Be sure to try the house-made sourdough bread made with yeast cultivated from the estate vineyard grapes, always a crowd favorite.
Why we love it: Parrish Family Vineyard boasts deep ties to the area dating back 70 years. That reverence for the land, paired with incredible Bordeaux wines, sharable plates, paired tasting flights and heavenly brunch offerings—makes for a dining experience that feels both down home and high brow.
Standout dishes: Mussels on the half shell paired with 2017 Sauvignon Blanc; Peek-aboo Wagyu beef paired with 2016 Silken blend.
Details: Serving food Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sunday Brunch 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

2. JUSTIN

Vibe: Intimate and innovative
Menu: Seasonal fresh
Dine: JUSTIN’s beautifully designed restaurant offers the freshest local ingredients spotlighted in creative dishes that reflect the changing seasons. Lunch, brunch and dinner are all works of art—especially when paired with an award-winning wine list, flights, and special tasting experiences. If you want to understand the “how” and “why” behind the pairing, this is the place for you. Take notes!
Why we love it: You can taste all of JUSTIN’s renowned wines (especially the Cabernet Sauvignon blends the winery has become known worldwide for) while noshing on the freshest produce in an intimate dinning room. Everything is super seasonal, sensational, and iconically Paso Robles.
Standout dishes: Crispy skin Berkshire pork with braised mustard greens, bluebonnet squash and pork jus paired with 2016 JUSTIN Isosceles; Chilaquiles with sunny-side-up eggs, salsa verde, house made chips, queso fresco and avocado.
Details: Brunch served Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Lunch served Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Dinner features three seatings available at 6:00, 6:30 & 7:00 p.m. by reservation only (Tuesday–Saturday). Note: The dinner menu is prix fixe.

3. Villa San Juliette

Vibe: Sophisticated Villa
Menu: Italian inspired
Dine: Whether you sit in the well appointed tasting room of Villa San Juliette or sprawl out on the sun dappled patio, you’ll feel like you’re on a European vacation far, far away. Allow the winery to pair a diverse wine selection with hand-crafted plates to round out the fantasy.
Why we love it: Villa San Juliette’s palace-like tasting room is truly opulent, and the food is perhaps the crowning jewel (well, after the wine, of course). The owners, lifelong friends and producers of the hit television show, American Idol, aimed to create a lavish oasis for their luxurious Bordeaux wines. The result is a sensory experience that begins at first sip and lingers long after your meal is over.
Standout dishes: Chicken Parmesan panini with fresh basil and salad; crab cakes with house made remoulade and lemon paired with the winery’s fresh Sauvignon Blanc.
Details: Open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday through Monday.

4. Opolo

Vibe: Laid back luxury
Menu: Wood-fired pizza
Dine: At Opolo, “food friendly” is taken to a whole new level. Choose from a dazzling array of pizzas, including Italian Sausage and Margherita, fresh salads, and savory sausage plates paired with fantastic food-loving wines. Known for Bordeaux and Italian wines—including an array of bold blends—you’ll also find Rhone whites, sparkling offers and even grappa made in-house. Hope you like a bit of everything.
Why we love it: There’s nothing like sharing a gourmet wood-fired ‘za with friends. Taste from a lineup of wines and spirits before or after your meal, or get a bottle and enjoy your food. We certainly recommend the latter.
Standout dishes: Pizza Bueno with caramelized onions, mushrooms and grilled chicken over seasoned white sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheese; Tri Kobasice plate with three house-made sausages and dipping sauce served with seasonal vegetables, cheese and focaccia. Pair with any of the winery’s red offerings, especially their famous Mountain Zinfandel.
Details: Serving food from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

5. Cello at Allegretto Vineyard Resort

Vibe: Wine Country Resort
Menu: Mediterranean seasonal
Dine: Check in to flavor. Cello at Allegretto Vineyard Resort is where food, friends and flavors blend into perfect harmony. Executive Chef Justin Picard shows off his talent for marrying domestic and international flavor profiles in an array of dishes paired with local and house made wines. Isn’t it nice when you don’t have to leave the hotel for spa services, wine tasting and fabulous food?
Why we love it: Cello is about fresh ingredients and artisan cookery, celebrating farmers, ranchers, and fisherman or the region. Sip on house made red or white wine, or grab a cocktail made with local spirits. What more could you want? If you said “a massage,” you are in luck! The resort has that, too.
Standout dishes: Raw Vegan Zucchini Spaghettini with foraged greens, fresh herbs, sweet onion broth, fennel, cherry tomato and house made hummus; oak pit grilled Angus beef filet mignon with garlic smashed Yukon Gold potato, red wine demi-glace and horseradish marscapone. Enjoy either with a local wine flight or house made offerings.
Details: Breakfast served from 7:30 to 11 a.m.; Lunch served daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Dinner served Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

6. Cass Winery

Vibe: Breezy and casual
Menu: Central Coast cool
Dine: Opt to taste up at the bar or sit on the winery’s the shaded veranda—your choice. This chill tasting room offers table-side wine offerings while you dine, which is which is especially helpful when you’re busy savoring all that delicious food.
Why we love it: You can grab a large crowd and head out to Cass for a lunch that lasts for hours (in fact, we say you should plan on it). The view is pastoral with a capital “P,” featuring rolling vineyards, oak trees, and blue skies. Happy wine attendants are on hand to bring you tastes of award winning Rhone and Bordeaux wines (and yes, there’s locally made Leo Leo Gelato for dessert).
Standout dishes: The Figgy Piggy sandwich with Speck Prosciutto and Prosciutto Cotto, fig jam, whipped goat cheese and French Baguette; Benny Burger with estate-raised gras fed beef, house cured bacon, Hook’s Paradise bleu cheese, horseradish aioli, pickled onions and Edna’s Bakery seeded brioche bun (add a Loo Loo Farm fried organic duck egg if you’re feeling frisky). Pair with a tasting flight of your choosing.
Details: Cafe serving lunch daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
