1. Écluse Wines 2015 Prelude White Rhone Blend
This complex Rhone style blend is truly a natural wonder. The beautiful golden straw color and aromas of stone fruit and orange blossom are sure to lure you in (not unlike a field of poppies) and continue on the palate along with notes of zesty citrus. Dubost’s 100% Grenache is as eye-catching as it is sumptuous. With a striking salmon color, raspberry and strawberry on the nose, and a crisp refreshing acidity going down, this chilled blush is ready for picnics laden with jam, nuts, and prosciutto. Flower crown not included.
Eberle’s 2018 Côtes-du-Rôbles Rosé is enticing, yet shows restraint. A blend of 52% Grenache, 44% Syrah, and 4% Viognier, the vibrant pink color leads your nose and mouth to the glass where aromas and flavors of tropical fruits, strawberries and a hint of pink grapefruit leap out of the glass. Watch out. You may need to wear shades for this one.
