Join us in the tasting room as we learn a the time honored tradition of preparing stuffed grape leaves.
Stuffed grape leaves are as versatile as the diverse cultures from which they developed across the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East. They are known by several names including dolma, dolmades, sarma, warak enab, and yalanchi and are prepared with a variety of fillings including meats, vegetables and rice. This savory dish is seen across time and culture as a sign of sincere and thoughtful hospitality .
Our class will be lead by long time friend and wine club member Mimi Koligian. She will share her family’s traditional recipe for yalanchi – grape leaves stuffed with a mixture of vegetables and rice.
We will enjoy a glass of wine and a light lunch as we stuff and roll grape leaves together. Hope to see you there!
