While some summer itineraries include long lines and annoying traffic, your Paso Robles summer is guaranteed to be chill to the max! So, how can one soak up all the sun, fun, and fabulous wine this world class wine region has to offer? Mark your calendar for these lively events (shoes not necessarily required).
1. Paso Robles Concerts in the Park
Ready for some classic summer relaxation? Head to Downtown City Park at the heart of Paso Robles with a blanket or low back beach chair. The town’s anticipated Concerts in the Park series runs through August 16 with a wave of rock, funk, blues, and country tunes (Music schedule here).
Sip wine while taking in the summer vibes and be sure to check out the many wine tasting rooms located downtown. Hoyt Family Vineyard and Tudor Wines are just steps away from Downtown City Park offering up a selection of red, white, and rose wines perfect for summer celebration.

2. Burger Sundays at Lone Madrone
It’s like you’re at an awesome backyard party, only better. Lone Madrone’s Burger Sundays, helmed by the talented Chef Jeffrey Scott, are a love fest of gigantic, juicy burgers, happy dogs, friendly folks, and amazing wines. What could be more low key than that? That being said, these are not your uncle’s burgers. Chef Scott pulls out all the stops so you can experience the most authentically Paso Robles food experience under the sun. Choose your locally sourced “meat,” including mushroom, lamb, or beef, top with delectable sauces and accouterments. Burger Sundays run every Sunday through October 28.

3. Paso Pops
Unleash the fireworks and family fun! Paso Pops, the annual patriotic-themed concert and Independence Day celebration will feature the San Luis Obispo Symphony, paired with Youth Symphony members, performing a patriotic “Pops” program ending with a fireworks finale. Paso Wine Man, Casey Biggs, will emcee Paso Pops for the third consecutive year (so you know there will be laughs). Also check out carnival rides for small children, food trucks, and places to unwrap your own picnic. Wine and beer will be available for purchase, too (it’s Paso Robles, after all). Expect tasty pours from Cass Winery, Clavo Cellars, Écluse, and Sculpterra. It’s all going down at the Paso Robles Event Center, not far from incredible wineries off Highway 46 East (like Eberle, where you can traverse an underground wine cave).
4. Willow Creek Vitner & Vines Tour
This July 7, go farther into the vineyard than you ever have before. Learn about these luscious wines while you soak up the sun’s rays. Deep in the Willow Creek district of Paso Robles, you’ll discover distinctive Italian wines unique to Pelletiere Estate by walking with winemaker Amy Butler and vintner, Janis Denner, who will explain the process involved in making limited production Italian style wines. Learn about the heritage of Italian grape growing and origins Pelletiere Estate’s rare Italian varieties, compare old world and new world approaches to winemaking and discuss Paso Robles’ unique micro-climate.
