Paso Robles Wineries Harvest Wine Weekend – Rangeland & Halter Ranch

Only a few more weeks until Harvest Wine Weekend!  This time we are highlighting a winery and ranch as well as a historical winery, some great places to stay nearby and a great activity to do while you are here on the Central Coast.  Many of the wineries in the area will be featuring great bands like the ‘Tipsy Gypsies’ at Silver Horse Winery, ‘Burning James & The Funky Flames’ at Midnight Cellars & Peachy Canyon, Gypsy Serenades and Ethnic Dancing at Opolo, ‘JD Project’ at Pomar Junction, live Reggae band at Doce Robles and ‘Damian Castillo Band‘ at Castoro Cellars just to name a few!  So plan your weekend to maximize your ultimate delights and check out these great places!

Rangeland

Located off of Klau Mine Rd in Paso Robles

Rangeland wines is located at the top of the ridge at Adelaida Springs Ranch where you will have the rare opportunity to come whenever you like for their tasting, BBQ and ranch tour.  The gates will be open and no appointment will be needed as usual.  As you drive up the windy road you will probably smell the heavenly aroma of their grass-fed Beef and Lamb sliders.  The ranch supports local grass-fed cattle and sheep that you can get from the ranch from their club boxes or from local meat markets such as J&R Meats and Sausages.  They have some delicious choices of wines such as Rose’s, whites and reds, a great tour of the property going over soil, harvest practices and wine process, and some great deals to help you leave with some premium cases of wine.

Halter Ranch

Located off of Adelaida Road in Paso Robles

Right around the corner from Rangeland is Halter Ranch and in minutes you can taste the next set of amazing wines.  They will be serving tasty bites from a local chef paired with their delicious varietals such as Rose’, whites and reds, have olive oil tasting from Robbins Family Farm and wine cave tours scheduled all day.  The beautiful grounds feature a historical ranch house and covered bridge, their sustainable and state-of-the-art winery production facility and a wine club VIP lounge.

Pasolivo Olive Oil Tasting and Orchard Tour

With all of the olive oil tasting at many of the wineries you will be visiting you may want to see a true California olive tree grove and see how the oil is pressed and processed.  The tour at Pasolivo offers a great educational experience and is a beautiful way to spend your afternoon walking outside throughout the olive trees.  They explain how they harvest, press and process their oils, add the flavors and why its important to know what is in your olive oil before you eat it!  Their olive oils are award winning and are featured in every culinary boutique on the Central Coast delivering premium taste and quality.
