Dogs are a wino’s best friend… Dog Jog & Dog Friendly Wine Tasting!

You know the feeling, you are sitting with a glass of your favorite wine in hand, overlooking the vines at one of your favorite wineries and you have your trusted furry friend panting at your feet.  Your dog loves visiting wineries just as much as you!  So many great Paso Robles wineries let dogs come visit as well as offer them fresh water, squirrels to watch, treats at the tasting room bar and shady spots for them to relax!  Here is a list of our ‘Dog friendly’ places to go wine tasting as well as the info on a great dog jog you can be involved in with your best friend!

August Ridge

August Ridge welcomes your pup and is hosting a delicious Spaghetti Western Dinner coming up on March 20th from 5pm-8pm.  Enjoy an Italian feast paired with their best August Ridge wines for only $65 for non-members and $55 for wine club.  Located just minutes away from downtown Paso Robles in Creston atop a beautiful rolling hill with breath taking views of the vineyards.

Bodega de Edgar

Stop by Bodega de Edgar housed in the same tasting room as Hug Cellars right off of the 46 East where you can find some boutique wines and bring your furry buddy to sit and relax with some smiling faces.

Dogs can bring their families for a 4K/2K run or walk through the beautiful Salinas River walk trail at the 7th Annual Paso Robles Dog Jog.

The fun run starts and ends at the Kennedy Club Fitness in Paso Robles. Participants will receive a voucher for one Lion’s Club pancake breakfast (add’l vouchers are $5 each), a racer’s goodie bag, an event dog bandana, and a medal.

Contests will start at 10 a.m. for Best Pooch Smooch, Most Appropriate Name, Best Smile, Best Dog Owner Look-Alike, and Most Unusual Face with prizes for winners.

Raffle drawings for merchandise and services will be held throughout the event.

Early bird race registration is $15 per dog until March 19th and $20 through race day. Register at the Kennedy Club Paso Robles facility at 500 South River Road, via mail-in registration or through the website
