My wine journey started as a waiter in Paso Robles, CA. There I was exposed to many great wine producers. Several became friends and eventually opened their doors to my learning desires. I started as a cellar rat, and moved on to learn the many different aspects of the wine industry. My enthusiasm for producing great wines brought me and my wife to the development of our own brand, Bodega de Edgar, in 2007.
Starting at just 250 cases, B de E is not approaching 1,800 cases with the 2012 vintage. As always, my focus is on sourcing the highest quality fruit to produce the best wines, while still maintaining an affordable price point.

Neil Roberts put down roots on the Central Coast more than 20 years ago and is today recognized as one of the region’s premier viticulturist, growing grapes for some of the region’s finest vineyards under the banner of Roberts Vineyard Services.
Neil is committed to “growing quality the right way”, which includes emphasis on sustainable vineyard practices that nurture both the vines and the surrounding environment. Similarly, he uses a gentle hand in the cellar, enabling the natural qualities of the fruit to shine in the finished wine. His winemaking approach includes careful hand sorting of clusters prior to fermentation; sacrificing quantity for quality through light pressing of the grapes; using judicious amounts of new oak barrels to ensure balance as well as structure.
“I put a tremendous amount of thought and care into making these wines,” Neil says. “But once the cork is pulled, it all comes down to the simple pleasure of experiencing everything that a remarkable vineyard has to offer.

Peachy Canyon Winery
1480 North Bethel Road, Templeton, CA 93465
Hours: Daily 10:00am - 5:00pm
Peachy Canyon is a family owned and operated winery dedicated to making excellent wines sustainably. Founded by Doug and Nancy Beckett in 1988, Peachy has long been praised as a producer of award-winning California wines that exemplify respect for terroir and dedicated winemaking.
Today the winery's tasting menu sports elite Bordeaux-style blends alongside award winning red Zinfandels and other unique and storied varietals, including: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Malbec, Viognier and Petite Sirah, among others. Peachy Canyon practices artisanal winemaking methods: Vineyards are pruned, maintained, harvested and sorted by hand. This commitment to sustainable winemaking begins in the vineyard and continues in all aspects of wine production. Established grapes are dry farmed, owl boxes are used for natural pest control, and vine care from planting to picking is done by hand. A select staff vineyard team maintains the estates year round. This labor-intensive process results in high quality control, leading to outstanding wines.
Zinfandel has long been Peachy Canyon’s flagship varietal—oftentimes with multiple vineyard designates in production. These red Zinfandels range from elegant and restrained to fruit forward, each an exemplary call to its own terroir, a showcase of Paso Robles’ microclimates. With these exemplary Zins Peachy Canyon has been instrumental in establishing Paso Robles’ reputation as a key Zinfandel growing region in California. In addition to Zin, Peachy Canyon produces a series of premium Bordeaux-style wines that highlight Paso Robles’ bucolic vineyard terrain. These include Peachy’s ‘Para Siempre,’ a top-tier Bordeaux blend based in Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc; ‘Ms Behave,’ a rich, multi-award winning Malbec; and ‘DeVine’ Cabernet Sauvignon.
