If you’re ready to go beyond the basics, WSET Level 2 offers a deeper look at the world’s wine styles and regions. You’ll also elevate your tasting skills with guided tastings of approximately 30 wines. This course is designed to be hands-on and fun. By the end of the WSET Level 2, you’ll be able to:

Identify the principal grape varieties grown around the world and the different styles produced from them, including sparkling and fortified wine
Decode label information to understand a wine’s quality and style
Calibrate your tasting skills to our NVWA instructors using the WSET’s Level 2 Systematic Approach to Wine Tasting (SAT)
The course includes: course materials, two days of classroom instruction with guided tasting of 35 wines, exam fee, certificate and lunch both days.

WSET LEVEL 2 IS IDEAL FOR:
Anyone currently working in the wine industry wanting to advance
Those looking to work in wine and needing credentials
Enthusiasts wanting a structured way to deepen their wine knowledge
WSET Level 1 graduates OR anyone with a foundational understanding of wine (WSET Level 1 is not a prerequisite)
To obtain the WSET Level 2 Award Certificate in Wine, you will need to successfully pass an in-person exam. Successful students will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin. Please allow 4-8 weeks for certification.

Once used by our ancestors to bring food to the cook-fires, the practice of archery is a fascinating confluence of discipline and energy, focus and stamina. With guidance from our expert instructors, your group will learn the skill and pure enjoyment that comes from target-based archery. New-World vs Old-World Nebbiolo Tasting Experience

In this fun and educational tasting experience, guests will get an in-depth look at the stylistic differences between the “New-World” and “Old-World” Nebbiolo, Italy’s most noble grape. Explore the two regions; soil, climate, growing practices, and production techniques that all directly contribute to the wine’s unique tasting profile.

In this side-by-side comparative tasting, guests will analyze two wines; a 2018 Nebbiolo from Italy’s Barolo region and Pelleitere Estates’, 2018 Nebbiolo Riserva. Both wines are from the same vintage and both scored 93 points from Wine Enthusiast.

Join us the first weekend of each month for our new Vertical Tasting Series. Enjoy a four-vintage flight of Seven Oxen wine, including a barrel sample of a not yet released wine, in this fun and educational tasting opportunity. Our November Vertical Tasting Series will feature our Grenache. This is a rare opportunity to taste wines from the Seven Oxen library, as well as a chance to purchase older vintages of our wine.
