My wine journey started as a waiter in Paso Robles, CA. There I was exposed to many great wine producers. Several became friends and eventually opened their doors to my learning desires. I started as a cellar rat, and moved on to learn the many different aspects of the wine industry. My enthusiasm for producing great wines brought me and my wife to the development of our own brand, Bodega de Edgar, in 2007.
Starting at just 250 cases, B de E is not approaching 1,800 cases with the 2012 vintage. As always, my focus is on sourcing the highest quality fruit to produce the best wines, while still maintaining an affordable price point.

Cass Vineyard and Winery is located in the rolling, oak-studded hills between Paso Robles and Creston on California's beautiful Central Coast. This area that the vineyard calls home offers quiet serenity for the visitor and an ideal growing environment for wine grapes.
Sited due east of the “Templeton Gap”, we receive the evening's cooling breezes that the west side of Paso Robles is noted for. We also rest far enough from the coast to generate the heat needed to optimally ripen the Rhone varieties grown on our 145 acre estate vineyard.

Small Production Wines Handcrafted to Demonstrate What True Quality Can Be
Winemaker, Ryan Render, was born and raised inside the Orange County curtain of Irvine California. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and started making wine under the Rendarrio Vineyards brand in 2003.
The name Rendarrio comes from late nights during his Cal Poly days from Dr. Keith Patterson. ( Render + 5 glasses of wine = Rendarrio).
Committed to Producing Wines of Quality and Distinction
Inspired by a trip to Chateauneuf du Pape in 1999, Ryan started sourcing grapes from Paso Robles in order to make great Rhone Style wines.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Sculpterra wine are donated to “His Healing Hands”, a medical missionary foundation that sends medical missionary teams on short-term trips all over the world to care for the most needy under-privileged peoples on all five continents. The owner of Sculpterra, Dr. Frankel, is one of the founders.
