Right around the corner Harvest Wine weekend is approaching October 17th-19th! Paso Robles wine country is gearing up with multiple events, winemaker dinners, wine case specials and foodie delights. We know how much you want to hit a little bit of everything but there is only so much you can do in a few days! So in our series we are covering some of the best and unique events at popular Paso Robles wineries, places to stay nearby and a fantastic activity to do on the Central Coast to make your mini holiday AMAZING.
Shale Oak
On Oakdale Road in Paso Robles
Shale Oak is a sustainable winery that has a state-of-the-art wine facility that is friendly to the environment and great for the wine you are putting in your body. It tastes exquisite and there are several varietals to choose from including Rose’, white blends, red blends, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Albarino, reserves and new releases. Their beautiful tasting room is constructed of LEED certified materials and Eco-friendly building guidelines that bring in light, modern clean lines and a friendly environment. Walking through there is an open bar with friendly faces offering nibbles, wine tasting and the original cookie pairing menu. There is a beautiful garden outside in the back with a waterfall fountain, greenery, vineyard views and comfortable seating.

Local Farmer’s Market!
Enjoy specially selected locally-grown produce and a great selection of artisan goods by local vendors as you taste wine and listen to live music by the ‘Belmores’ from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm!
October 19th | Sunday All Day
Enjoy wine specials with case discounts, wine tasting and relaxing in the garden before you head home!

Santa Margarita Ranch Zip Line Tour over the Vineyards
If you are up for an adventure this is an exciting and beautiful way to explore Paso Robles wine country. In Santa Margarita just 15 minutes south of Paso Robles, there is a historical ranch that grows sustainable grapes and offers fun information about the land and the story behind the ranch. While you are getting a great tour and learning about the area you are literally flying through the air and seeing everything with the thrill of the California air in your face! Here are the vital stats about the zip line tour so you can book your reservations early!
2.5 hour guided zip line tour over historical Santa Margarita ranch and the vineyards
Tours at 10 am – 12:30 pm – 3 pm
Groups of 8 or more age 18 and up is $89- per person
Minors ages 4 – 17 years are $79- per person – Weights of 75 lbs or more can go solo but under that need to go tandem with a parent
Adults age 18 and up is $99- per person
Just the Tour without the Zip is $40- per person
4,500 combined feet of zip tour
Weight limit to ride is 275 lbs and a max of 21 guests per tour
